Edelrid Guide Assist Pro Dry rope

The lightweight Guide Assist Pro Dry from Edelrid is an 8mm accessory cord with dynamic safety reserve for support and belaying a second climber in exposed areas and traversing glaciers. This rope is primarily designed for confidence and guidance and is not suitable for use as a single rope or for belaying a lead climber. This model features a Pro Dry Finish, which makes it water repellent and dirt resistant, it has the UIAA standard which allows for a rope that absorbs less than 2% water. The rope has also undergone the Thermo Sheild treatment to ensure pleasant handling and flexibility in addition to, the 3D lap coil technology that prevents having problems with twisting and tangling.

The confidence rope is designed for use on steep terrain to help nervous walkers or to keep children safe on exposed sections and is ideal for scrambling, steep descents and exposed paths. It's not suitable for lowering, abseiling or belaying as the rope is static and has a small diameter - it is designed for confidence situations only.
